Kim is involved with the American Psychiatric Association (APA). This organization works diligently to improve the quality of psychiatric care available in the United States.
Recently, APA announced that it has formed a partnership with the National Network of Depression Centers (NNDC) to work on PsychPRO, a national registry for mental health patients. Launched at the end of 2016, PsychPRO is intended to improve the level of care delivered by psychiatrists while complying with MACRA quality reporting stipulations put in place by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
Information gathered from PsychPRO will be used to drive future research and uncover better approaches to preventing and addressing psychiatric issues. NNDC will work with APA to develop the registry and ensure that it effectively serves the needs of patients, providers, and researchers.
